Slippery Tactile Slabs

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 23:36, Wed 10 November 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

On 10th September 2021 my son was riding his bicycle along the cycle path alongside Cumberland Basin Road. When he reached the yellow slabs which are laid there his front wheel slipped on the slabs as they cause a tram line effect because of the way that they are designed. Subsequently he suffered a serious head injury and his bicycle was damaged. He landed in the carriageway but luckily there were no passing vehicles so he did not suffer a more serious injury. This problem was previously reported on 28/11/2019 but it appears no action was taken to rectify the faulty slabs.
