A disabled space or not?

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:14, Tue 23 November 2021

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

There is a "disabled parking" bay on Bellevue, Clifton, that the council had provided to support a tenant in one of the properties along the road who is no longer a resident. Previous conversations with the council - both telephone & with wardens - have informed us that this is indeed not a blue badge space according to your records, and you'd been waiting to formally return the space to standard CH parking. The space has been used by some residents on the street, over the last 3 or 4 years as a space due to parking pressure, however, suddenly, some wardens are now issuing tickets for people parked in that space. Can the council please now formally communicate the situation with this space, and if it is indeed only to now be used by disabled, please update the signage to reflect this outcome ASAP, instead of suddenly deciding, 3 or 4 years in, to start ticketing people along the road.
