  • This matter remains outstanding the whole street is being kept awake at night and disturbed during the day by the constant clanking of this manhole cover!

Grateful if you could please attend to as a priority before it becomes a health and safety issue and someone gets hurt.

  • Dreadful noise day and night from this damaged manhole cover. Hotwell Road is a very busy road so please can the repair of the cover/surrounding area be undertaken urgently before we all lose our sanity from the incessant clanking. I live further along the road and it's unbearable, the people directly opposite it must be living a nightmare!

  • Bristol Council. There are almost 10 enquiries/citizen follow-ups reporting this same man-hole cover problem over the last month. You've stated it's under investigation twice, on the 30th of Dec & 5th of Jan, both of which you've failed to give an update on an outcome. THIS PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE & THE MAN-HOLE IS LIKELY TO COLLAPSE UNLESS YOU ATTEND TO IT SOON.

PLEASE GIVE AN UPDATE & TIMELINE OF WHEN THIS WILL BE RESOLVED TO SAVE FURTHER COMPLAINTS.

IT'S NOT COMPLICATED. IT'S OBVIOUS IT NEEDS REPAIRING ASAP.

ALSO YOUR PHONE REPORTING SERVICE KEEPS HANGING UP WHEN A CALLER GETS TO FIRST IN THE QUEUE.

  • I can't sleep at all because of the terrible clanking whenever a car goes over it. I am suffering from ill health and the lack of sleep is making it much worse.

  • We are getting complaints from our customers at Grain Barge that the clattering of the manhole cover is unbearable! It's so loud you can hear it wherever you are in the venue. I feel dreadful for those that live on the road as it clangs every few seconds, night and day.

The manhole cover itself looks dangerous; the tarmac is cracked and sunken-in around the pothole. I am concerned it will cave in soon, or a cyclist will injure themselves as it is significantly sunken in already. Please fix this!
