Light not coming on dangerous bend of cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Street Light category anonymously at 19:05, Tue 11 January 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The lamppost right on the corner of this busy foot/cycle path hasn't been working for 2 months. This is extremely hazardous as it's right on a blind corner which could easily lead to a collision between cyclists and/or pedestrians. Could you please reinstate this ASAP.

I reported this issue in Dec 21, but the report seems to have been pulled from the website... I also note that someone else logged the same issue and was informed that it's not on land adopted by BCC. I fail to see why a public foot and cycle path would not be maintained by the council...so p'haps the council could confirm who is responsible for the up keep.

  • This light has been out since December and it's still not been fixed. Since then, the next lamppost up has also failed, making this pedestrian walkway very dark at night.
