Severely damaged and dangerous pavement
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect category by Cllr Philippa Hulme at 11:34, Wed 12 January 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3234902.
The pavement outside 1-7 Filton Grove was severely damaged by contractors building the new flats opposite - the damage occurred over the past 9 months. The flats are now built, but the pavement is in a very dangerous state, and is a severe trip hazard. It needs to be fixed ASAP please.

Yellow paint has now been sprayed onto the pavement indicating the repair area. However, there is still a section of pavement adjacent to the repair area extending for about 2 metres towards Muller Road which is also damaged, including the kerb being depressed to road surface level. I believe this area of pavement should also be marked for repair?

A small section of the pavement towards Muller Road has had new tarmac laid recently but the kerbstones have not been raised from their depressed state and the majority of the damaged pavement and kerb line remains in its damaged (and dangerous) state.

The pavement outside No.3 is now breaking up and at least one person has been known to trip at the location. Due to the raised nature of the pavement forming a ridge parallel to the (depressed) kerb puddles form not only in the road, but also in the gateway of No.3. In my opinion a repair is required urgently.

As the other residents have said, this pavement needs to be properly repaired as a matter of urgency. The building contractors caused the damage, so should be expected to pay for the repair.

Several months after this damaged pavement was reported the only action seen is 'someone' spraying white lines to show the extent of the damage. Still a trip hazard, and as the nights are getting longer, the potential for someone falling over can only increase.
