Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3255307.

The noise from this loose manhole cover is very loud. Especially in the early hours of the morning 4/5am when large goods vehicles travel down the Wells road and hit it. Sounds like thunder. Please can this be fixed.

Just to be clear - there are two issues here. A horizontal break across the entire road and the loose manhole. Both cause heavy good vehicle to slam into them and create a huge amount of noise.

Photos of the offending articles above. There has also recently been some resurfacing by the bus stop (gas/water main) which isn't flat or level with the road making for a noisy uneven surface on this stretch of the wells road. Very Dangerous for bikes and scooters as well.

The noise generated by heavy goods vehicles and buses going over this uneven road surface and poorly levelled manhole cover causes real noise pollution, disturbing residents in the area, particularly on the Wells Rd and Brecknock Rd.
Please can this be rectified.
