Rocking manhole cover

This issue was previously logged as no 3218162, where the manhole has been rocking for a few weeks and was at risk of caving in, as cars drove on it. The manhole was finally repaired on 31st Jan 21 and re-tarmaked in, however after 3 days, with each car that drives over it the noise of the drain clattering is increasing and disruptive. It will need a further fix and traffic management to be set up ASAP as already the noise is loud to residents and can be heard along the street.

  • It has now been fixed to the required standard with a completely new metal suuraound and a new close fitting cover 🙂
