The chicane railings have still NOT been replaced

Reported via mobile in the Street Furniture category anonymously at 14:07, Wed 9 February 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

A metal loop chicane was installed in the walk-through between Pendock Road and Frenchay Close to stop motorcycle joy-riders, from Oldbury Court Estate, using it as a rat run.

The metal chicane was subject to criminal damage by two youths who tore the loops out of the ground.

The holes left in the pavement have been filled in BUT the the chicane metalwork has not been replaced.

Now, we are back to where we started - with motorbike joy-riders again speeding dangerously through the walk-through.

A chicane is needed to stop this happening before there is a serious accident and the injured pedestrian(s) taking this to court citing Bristol Council's responsibilities.

The replacement chicane will need to stronger, better grounded and better positioned to prevent motorbikes and scooters access to this pedestrian walk-through.
