Zebra crossing required

Reported via desktop in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 11:18, Thu 17 February 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3318573.

The junction of Tower Hill and Lower Castle Street is very dangerous for pedestrians. Traffic on Lower Castle Street is split into two lanes, with the left lane being exclusively for traffic going into Tower Hill. Cars often switch lanes at the last moment. There is no 'Give Way' at the junction of Tower Hill, and no crossing so pedestrians have no priority. There is no curb with the pavement merging with the roadway. With the cycle lane on Tower Hill, and the proliferation of eScooters this crossing has become a nightmare. There either needs to be a Give Way across Tower Hill (it is technically a side road to Lower Castle Street) or ideally a Zebra Crossing so pedestrians have some priority here.
