Street Light on Wall above Thali Restaurant Unlit
Reported via desktop in the Street Light category by Robin Beecroft at 03:46, Fri 25 February 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3342444.
The street light on the eastern side of the main St Mark's road shopping area, attached to the wall above the Thali Restaurant is unlit. There are currently four street lights out of six in this stretch of the road that are unlit, then there is a seventh that has been removed, so this area needs urgent, prioritised attention. It is especially dangerous with there being two cashpoint machines within this unlit area.

Why has this been reallocated? It is an unlit light and is the responsibility of your department – it is what you do...

You need to raise a job on this to be fixed. It is simply an unlit light. You have reallocated this when there is nothing to reallocate. It is an unlit light. At the same time as this light was reported there was an unusual problem reported on the light above the Takeaway 100 metres north of this one which had been removed. I dare say that one did need to be reallocated and you stated that. Good. Then you conflated that issue with the light above the Thali, which is there but just unlit, and stated this too was being reallocated when that was a wholly inappropriate response. You need to raise a job for this to be fixed in the usual way for one that is unlit. If a job is not raised for this to be fixed in the next 48 hours, I will be informing the Business Support Officer as to what has happened. Please also prioritise lighting for the wall lights above Hunter's – which has not been fixed – Tenovus and Bhogal's.
