Missing “No Entry - Access only” sign at entrance

Reported via mobile in the Road Signage category anonymously at 11:14, Monday 28 February 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

There is no dead end sign at the entrance to Napier Road. Drivers come down here thinking they can get back on to Stapleton Road but they can’t as it was cut off to through traffic in approximately 2013. This is causing problems with drivers trying to turn around to get back onto New Stadium Road. My car has been hit 3 : times, both my neighbours cars have been hit too by cars or vans. My friend’s car was also damaged when she visited me. There used to be a small island with one way signs on it which forced drivers to go around the little island but this was removed to make way for cyclists coming into the road. I can’t remember the last time a cyclist was seen in this road. Whilst I appreciate that the Council cannot be held responsible for drivers who can’t reverse without hitting other cars, it would help tremendously if a “Access only” or “Dead End” sign could be put at the entrance to stop stray drivers coming into the road. Thank you.
