Street damage at pavement site (red circle) leads to leak into vaults of 25 Great George Street
Reported via mobile in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 12:46, Wed 2 March 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3356058.
It appears that cobble stones along the pavement got displaced likely through heavier cars. The photo illustrates the damaged area opposite 25 Great George Street. Considerate amounts of water leak into vaults and the lower ground. The issue is new, having started end last week (around 26th February). It could also be a drain leak. We are unsure. Many thanks for handling this quickly to avoid property damage.

We are now aware that there seems to have been some access (maybe for coal?) in earlier times that appears to be covered with cobble stones nowadays. The hole covers an area of about a square foot. If the damage persists , the opening might break in and could cause a person to fall through, about 4 m down.
