Severe uneven road with splits across surface

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 15:25, Wed 30 March 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3426990.

There is a large area of uneven road near the end of the three acre covert area on the portway which is just after the Sylvan Way junction. This surfaces of road has various splits in the road and is very uneven and in the areas that a cyclist would ride, this resulted in my 17 year old son who was cycling along the road on Tuesday 29th March ending up being taken to A&E after being badly injured with a possible fractured elbow, damage to his bike, his helmet being cracked do to the force he hit the road, clothing being damaged. He could not avoid this area and ended up catching it and coming off his bike.
