Anvil St/New Kingsley Rd/Old Bread St junction - please provide information
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 12:46, Mon 4 April 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
The Anvil St/New Kingsley Rd/Old Bread St junction is a disgrace and has been in its current, unsafe state for months. Many of the road surfaces around this junction were completely renewed, but, inexplicably (at least to local residents), the junction itself was left looking like a construction site.
Enquiry 3365024 covering this issue was inexplicably closed last week. Enquiry 3430928 has now been closed today too.
To Bristol City Council: if you want to close this issue as well, please at least provide some publicly readable information beyond generic, cookie-cutter responses like "We've investigated this issue and don't think any further action is needed at this time."
In particular, please provide the local population with answers to questions like: 1) Why has this junction alone been left in a visually unappealing and unsafe state for months, despite many of the other road surfaces around the junction having been resurfaced? 2) Who is responsible for eventually sorting out the state of the junction? 3) In what timeframe do you expect/require the work to sort out the junction to be carried out?
