Recent skimming has covered some of the small manhole covers outside of each property.

Reported via desktop in the Utlility Covers category anonymously at 08:40, Wed 6 April 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The pavement was recently skimmed over the length of the street but in doing so the company has covered some of the small manhole covers that can be found outside each property. For example the small manhole outside of number 40 is visible; the manhole outside of number 38 is completely covered over with no visual signs that it was ever there and the manhole outside of number 36 is partially covered. This appears to be the case along the whole street. Not sure what these little manholes are for but if they are needed by emergency/utility services then they cannot be accessed and this should be rectified immediately. The whole street needs to be inspected and any missing/partially covered manholes should be reinstated asap.

  • It seems nothing has been done about this - let’s hope the Council haven’t paid the Contractors yet as they’ve wasted their money on what appears to be shoddy work. In the meantime if utility or emergency services need access the Council will be liable given they were informed immediately after the works took place.

An update from the Council for all residents would be useful.......
