Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
Wessex Water recently cleared a blockage in a drain that ran under the northbound lane of the Wells Road, just to the north of the junction with St Johns Lane.
Since then, the drains from The Oxford Grill and the Asia Garden Chinese restaurant are both overflowing from their manholes/inspection chambers. There is now foul water from both of these drains running across the footway and into the Wells Road. The foul water from The Asia Garden is fatty and there are accumulations of fatty goo at the manhole and on the footway. These are a health hazard and there is also a risk of the main drain in the Wells Road becoming blocked again.
