Lateral drain under pavement constricted/partially blocked between 69/70 Old Market Street, BS2 0EJ.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 12:29, Mon 16 May 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Run off water runs into drain and then onto road/main drains via lateral drain under the pavement. Lateral drain seems likely to be constricted/partially blocked, possibly with silt. Causing water to flood into the Long Bar (70 Old Market Street) instead of running away. Flooding happened during heavy rain 15th May 2022. This has also occurred historically (c. 2016 - but clearing the drain relieved the issue). We were previously told that the drain pipe run is relatively flat, which tends to exacerbate build up of silt etc.
