Light very bright

Street Light opposite my house, in last few days appears to be very bright. The brightness is very strong and shines directly into my bedroom (101) even with thick curtains. Definitely noticed in last 5-7 days. Flickers because trees not cut back enough from church. Unsure if angle of light moved?
