Yellow lines required to prevent dangerous parking

Reported via mobile in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 14:37, Fri 27 May 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

For months now people have been parking illegally near the junction of Holmes Hill Road where it meets with the A420. Recent prolonged building works nearby has resulted in minimal parking for residents in the area with an increase of dangerous illegal parking at the junction. The current lines have worn away. The top of the road is narrow and on a tight bend which results in dangerous conditions occurring regularly where vehicles trying to travel down from the A420 have to drive on the wrong side of the road, with poor visibility due to the bend, and frequently end up meeting those coming towards the A420 head on, with the only way to pass usually involving driving on the pavement. This needs addressing before a serious accident happens including increasing parking warden attendances/extending/repainting yellow lines.
