Fire damaged road surface

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 10:05, Tue 31 May 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

On Thursday 19 May a car fire caused considerable damage to the road outside our house and seriously damaged a nearby street light. A council team temporarily fenced off the area and covered the damaged area with sand. This fencing and sand was cleared away a few days later, but the road surface has not been repaired or resurfaced. There are broken pieces of glass and metal from the burnt car stuck in the tarmac and the road surface is seriously deformed. Now one of my car tyres has been punctured, possibly by some sharp object stuck in the road surface, when I drove/parked outside my house. Please can a council team resurface this area of road as soon as possible.
