Motorbikes to be added to bus crossing signage

Reported via iOS in the Road Signage category anonymously at 19:48, Fri 10 June 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

As per the bristol.gov.uk website:

“ These road users can generally use all the bus lanes in Bristol: Buses, Cyclists, Motorcycles, Taxis”

However this no entry crossing doesn’t explicitly state motorcycles are allowed, causing confusion / confrontation.

The alternatives routes are the M32 which Mopeds are not permitted to use, and the other alternative is to use the dual carriageway Easton Way (A4320) however with a moped restricted to 28mph, this is not safe.

Therefore for the safety of motorcyclists and the cars that would otherwise have to deal with them on the dual carriageway, the road signage should at the junction between Stapleton Road and Easton Way should be updated to clarify that motorcycles can also cross at this no entry bus junction.
