  • This problem is impacting on the children of Horfield Primary being able to walk to school safely. Children are having to walk/ cycle/ scoot in the road which is very dangerous. This needs to be resolved as a matter of urgency.

  • This issue empasses No 37 Maskelyne Avenue, the hedge borders the garden up and around into Cordwell Walk. Parents are having to guide children out into the road as there is no pavement space to walk. No 1 Cordwell Walk, their hedge is out over the pavement again making walking on the pavement impossible. this should be prioritised because of all the children using this road. Also hanging over the fence onto the pavement are bramble branches from No 35A Maskelyne Avenue. Another danger walkers have to endure. Someone from the council needs to get out of their office and go and inspect these issues, and robustly deal with the house owners to uphold their responsibilities with regards to overgrown hedges affecting pavements.

  • This is an extremely serious issue as it is used by school children and prams. There is now no access to the pavement for prams or pedestrians. This was the same issue last year and when the hedge was finally trimmed it was not trimmed back far enough to provide proper access to the pavement.
