Grass and ivy growing in the road; Overhanging branches

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 12:10, Wednesday 22 June 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Grass and ivy are growing more than 1 metre out from the kerb all along Chardstock Avenue. Branches overhang at head height up to 2 metres from the kerb. The white spirit level in the photo is 60cm long and placed up against the kerb (itself mostly obscured by debris).

  • This is the 3rd time I have reported this issue and as you can see above other residents in the street have reported it numerous times. We are about to have the other side of the road dug up for the installation of fibre which has already caused chaos getting in and out of our road. Being forced to drive through the trees and bushes has resulted to damage to cars are we able to apply for compensation from the council. The gutters were cleaned a couple of weeks ago but it was impossible for the road worker to clear any gutter on that side of the road as the bushes are so overgrown. Please please please sort this out.
