Branches overhanging land and resting on telephone wires and stressing them
Reported via mobile in the Tree touching building category anonymously at 07:51, Fri 24 June 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later
This tree is far too large for situation. It has a disease and sheds leaves from late June - therefore not healthy. Canopy indicates that roots are close to our foundations which may cause subsidence. Branches are causing telecom wires to bend and generally the tree needs a thorough prune to remain healthy. This issue has been previously reported. Please do not send your tree cutting policy to us. This simply tells us that the tree is our responsibility. This tree was planted many years ago by BCC. Hill View is a high council tax Postcode. It is up to the council to kindly keep its trees in order.

Our residential car parks are surrounded by trees that have not been maintained for more than 4 years now. Their branches are so long and almost cover most of the parking spaces. Unfortunately, birds droppings have made car parks and cars a total mess, and residents try to avoid using the car park. This is really disappointing and we need to wash the mess on the car almost everyday if using the car park, otherwise bird droppings would damage the paint of the car. We demand the long branches to be cut, which would solve this important problem, also it makes the area tidy and more organised.
