Road gully blocked with sand and cement, possibly from building work next door.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 17:09, Fri 24 June 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

This surface water gully was noticed whilst I was surveying the SW drains in the road. We believe that the debris from your road gully is making its way into the WW SW line.

  • This drain outside junction of rudthorpe road with strathmore road has been blocked since residents of a house further up rudthorpe road excavated and rebuilt a front garden wall and a path (currently still working on property). Debris and cement from this property has washed down the road and into the gully/ drains - the drains and roadway from no 30 onwards are filled with sand and cement , drain at no 48 is blocked and there is flooding at bottom of strathmore junction with Downend road.
