Drain cover near the rear of Flat 375A Filton Avenue

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 16:57, Sat 25 June 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

First phot was taken a week ago, I thought someone had reported the problem. Second photo is today. There must be a blockage somewhere because the drain cover has been forced up due to the drain busting its contents everywhere which I believe is human waste due to the awful smell.

  • I have just had two ladies come into my place of work to report their daughter falling into this drain. I first reported this being blocked and what smelt like human waste oozing out of it on Saturday 25th June. I was not aware the lid was no longer covering the drain. As you can see it is upside down, I am unclear how this has happened. I have used the flytipping in the carpark to act as a barrier so that nobody else falls into it. This needs urgent attention.

  • We’re residents of the house near this drain and this issue has been raised a while ago!! It is absolutely disgusting the smell and danger that it provides to everyone. I also reported seeing rats. Could the council look over this?!!!!!!!
