Blocked drain

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 14:57, Tue 5 July 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

This is now a longstanding problem. There have been many attempts at resolving this problem (reported on here) with no success. The longstanding water in this area is contributing to pavement damage and road (which has recently been partially fixed). The pavement damage from the co op Lorry parking on the pavement may be contributing. However, the drain remains blocked with a general deterating road and pavement becoming an increasing hazard. The council keeps reporting the problem fixed and there appears to ve no change. Someone need to investigate this a more deeply

  • This was the position with the last time there was a normal rainfall and has existed for a long time. The present dry weather should allow the gully to be checked properly for any blockage so that it is cleared before the rain re-appears. It is in an area with a lot of foot traffic from elderly and disabled people and should be rectified without further delay if not dealt with recently.
