Missing road sign

Reported via desktop in the Road signage category by Guy Crawley at 14:57, Mon 25 July 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3705284.

I have been advised that BCC sees no reason to investigate further the missing road sign at this crucial junction for HGVs as they seek to cross the Suspension Bridge. The previous sign was damaged by a high sided vehicle and subsequently removed around 12 months ago. Since then there have been numerous occasions when large vehicles attempt to drive along Suspension Bridge Road towards the Bridge only to find they have to reverse , often several hundred yards and often in the thick of heavy traffic. They thus become a danger to other traffic and to pedestrians as well as blocking the road Please can someone from BCC look up records showing the siting of the previous sign and reinstate it. The situation is certainly not resolved as your email to me suggests and “ no further action to be taken “ is not the appropriate result
