Speeding and rat run

Reported via desktop in the General highways enquiry category anonymously at 10:43, Wednesday 27 July 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Speeding along Woodborough Street has always been a problem. It is getting worse. I believe vehicles use this street as a rat run between Easton Road in the south and Stapleton Road in the north. In my opinion, it should not be possible to pass between Easton Road and Stapleton Road using the small streets around this area. As well as creating issues of anti-social behaviour, it is incredibly dangerous for the children and young people of the area and does not encourage active travel.

Other areas of the country are adopting Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in urban areas. I believe we should be adopting the same approach in the urban areas of Bristol. I would really value the opportunity to work with the Council and come up with a solution to this issue.
