Cycle contraflow not clear

Reported via desktop in the Road signage category anonymously at 19:00, Wed 27 July 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3711323.

Its not clear to many vehicle coming down East st, nor many pedestrians ambling across it, that cyclists are allowed to move both ways. Some get aggressive when they perceive the cyclist is in the wrong. A contrasting green 1m wide cycle lane with arrow going UP the street would resolve this. Also, there is not signal that allows cyclists/electric scooters to turn right at the top of the street - we just have to guess when the traffic on Cannon street has a red light, which is fairly dangerous.
