Parking

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 15:59, Thu 28 July 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Cars park continually on the corner covering the whole curb which forces pedestrians to use the road instead. This is dangerous and makes it impossible with push charis. Parking here is horrific in general, marked bays or residents parking permits are needed. Residents often have to park along Maple or Ash road due to it being constantly full

Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

Posted by Bristol City Council at 15:59, Thu 28 July 2022

  • If you want to report pavement parking that is causing an obstruction on a pavement, it depends if there are any markings on the road or not who to ring:

    - If there are no markings on the road you can either report it by ringing the non-emergency police line on 101 or you can report it online here - https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/ forms/ gef - If there are any markings on the road you can either ring the Bristol City Council parking services control room on (0117) 903 8070 or you can report it online here - https://www.bristol.gov.uk/ parking/ parking-service-contact-form

Basically, if there are no markings on the road then Bristol City Council cannot do anything about it, where as the police can, In theory, act under any circumstances.

  • I thought the whole point of this platform was for someone from the council to review assess and hopefully paint some markings on the road. that is my request
