Trees and shrubbery are obstructing the path into my garden

Reported via mobile in the Growth from base of tree category by Tracey Williamson at 11:46, Thu 4 August 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The trees and shrubbery right along the river embankment behind my house need to be cut right back. It is a mix of trees, very fast growing Buddleia and thorny brambles which have now obscured the entire path into my garden and is causing damage to the fencing. This has become unmanageable and really needs a long term solution rather than just snipping off a branch here and there. Many thanks

  • It has been 2 months since I have put my initial request in but I am yet to receive any correspondence. Please can somebody deal with this matter ASAP?

I am no longer able to access my property. I cannot manage the overgrown shrubbery that has now entered my garden either due to the path to my house being completely blocked off. My garden is like a wilderness (hip height foliage, and ivy and other brambles growing up the side of my house). The fencing has already become broken and I do not want further damage done to the structure of the house. Something needs to be done asap please. The river embankment needs really cutting back otherwise this is a problem that is just going to continuously become an issue every few months. Please see photos attached for reference. Thank you
