Large number of potholes on roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Roads category anonymously at 18:03, Tuesday 16 August 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

This is a continuation of case 3508280 from a new reporter. There is a large number of fairly deep potholes all around this roundabout outside the steam crane pub. I know these have been reported before but I disagree with the response by the council to the previous report saying these are not urgent. I approach this as a cyclist who finds these to be very dangerous. The potholes are numerous and deep enough that finding a safe route around this is difficult- I have to spend more time checking for potholes then looking for traffic on the roundabout. Hitting these potholes while cornering around the roundabout is a recipe for damage to bikes and riders. I have nearly been thrown of my bike while riding around this and accidentally hitting a pothole. I have noticed this issue at least for the last 6 months but could have been there before. Overall whilst these potholes may not be an issue for cars and pedestrians their quantity, severity and location present a real hazard for cyclists.
