Street light in Gefle Close BS1 6XY broken. Engineers have not returned to fix it.

The street lamp behind the McColls shop, in the Napier Court parking area of Gefle Close BS1 6XY is broken. It is pitch black at night for residents of Napier Court and car bays are in total darkness. Due to the closure of Gaol Ferry Bridge we are now having serious nightly problems with people using the Vauxhall Bridge and causing disturbances, partly due to the fact that this is an unlit area. Engineers have visited before and the light has been repaired, but has a history of going out again within a week. The notice on the lamp states it would be fixed within 21 days, but this has been on the lamppost since February. Would you please permanently fix as soon as possible. Many thanks.

  • Street light still broken despite engineers working on it on removing notices attached on Monday 7th October 2022. The light worked for Monday night only and 24 hours later it is out again we are in total darkness at night.

    This street light has still NOT been fixed. The area around it includes the access ramp section of the footbridge and the lack of illumination makes it dangerous for all users. This issue has been going on for at least 10 months!!!
