Updates

  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • I’d definitely get this reported to the police. The driver of this vehicle is breaking the law on 2 counts: 1. Illegally driving on the pavement (Highway Code 145) 2. Causing a dangerous obstruction to pedestrians (by not leaving enough room for a wheelchair or buggy to get past).

Call 101, option 5, option 2, option 1 Tell them the driver’s breaking on both counts. Provide them with accurate location, vehicle reg, how often they park there & duration, etc.

Make sure you ask for an incident reference number so you can follow it up.

The response from the police is varied, so you could report this to Bristol Council Parking services. Call them on 0117 903 8070. Again, give them location, reg & frequency of them parking here.

Good luck, post here if you get a good response from police or parking services. Hope this motorist stops causing a nuisance by obstructing the pavement

  • Give the company whose number is on the van a call. Tell them you intend to report them to the police unless the driver stops illegally driving on the pavement to park
