Deep longitudinal cracks
Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 14:54, Mon 10 October 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3880197.
These cracks have been gradually widening over the last few years - and are now about 12m long and 5-7cm or more wide with a bit of a ledge/upstand. The area is poorly lit. It would be easy not to see these at night. Riding into the crack it is very likely a cyclist would come off. They are in additional to further cracks reported on Station Lane.

I see this has been reported but it needs to be dealt with as a matter of urgency. It is now pitch black down this stretch of the Concorde Way (along with a few other stretches of the bike route) and yesterday I cycled into the crack, my front wheel went into the deep pothole and I crashed my bike. Luckily I wasn’t too badly hurt but my front wheel is buckled. I took photos today to show how bad this path is. Please action ASAP before a cyclist is really seriously hurt. Many thanks

I have had this update from the Council:
"I am waiting for an update from Strategic City Transport as to any repairs that may take place along Concorde Way, especially between Station Lane Station and Muller Road. As soon as I have any information, I will let you know."
I will of course be chasing this.

Perhaps the paths will be fixed as part of the station works, which have started now (paths shut for one year)? Can BCC confirm?

I've had it confirmed that this issue will not be fixed while the station is being built. Despite all the equipment being on site. There are “land ownership” issues apparently.
I will however keep pushing to reverse this decision.
