Pavement damaged, again.
Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 11:50, Tue 1 November 2022
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3929432.
The pavement in Saltwell Valley was reported damaged in September. Bristol Council were notified to not fix the pavement until Wessex Water had been able to fix a burst pipe which has caused the problem. The pavement was fixed anyway. It rained, the pavement was severely damaged (again) the same afternoon and is now worse than before. The council may want to communicate with Wessex Water before fixing the pavement again.

I can confirm that we are liaising with Wessex Water regarding a section of the new footpath surface installed last year at Saltwell Valley which has been partly washed away due to water flooding downslope from a blocked waste pipe (at The Drive off Woodleigh Gardens). Wessex Water are in the process of resolving the problem but it is apparently complicated by tree roots around the damaged pipe. When this has been resolved we will get the surface repaired.
