Drain blocked outside opposite my house, making the road flooded

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category by Frances Fuller at 09:12, Thu 3 November 2022

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3934987.

This drain is blocked and has flooded the road out side my house. When cars go by, it floods into my garden, and under the door into my garage. I presume the drain is blocked with leaves.

  • This is still flooding once again, and every car that goes through it, is pushing the water in my drive , and going very close to going under my garage. My garage has flooded in the past due to the same reason, causing damage to goods.

  • It is now slowly going down, but as soon as it rains again it will flood the road again. This is not going away.

  • This is how it’s looking today at 10.45 on November 9th. It’s only going to get worse if it continues raining. Can this drain be unblocked please, as I’m concerned about damage to goods in my garage if it comes up my drive and under the door into garage.

  • As it was some time ago I reported the issue with the blocked drain in Goulston Road, the first date being the 3rd November, and the last date was the 9th November. Nothing has been done. The road is still flooding, and the more it rains, the worse it gets. I need to know if this situation gets worse, and it floods into my garage,( which it has done in the past), can I claim damages from you for goods that are damaged, due to nothing being done to solve the blocked drain.

  • The road is again flooded. I can see that another neighbour has reported this back on 3rd November. And has still not been fixed. Not only is it damaging private property as stated by the other resident, it is ruining the road which will then cost the tax payers money to fix. Its also a major hazard to any pedestrian.
