New tarmac pavement

Reported via desktop in the Pavements category anonymously at 10:11, Tuesday 24 January 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4164797.

Between Newquay Road and Poyntz Road the payment was tarmacked on Friday and some idiot walked all through it so it was re-tarmacked again yesterday morning between 10am/10.30am. The paperwork states you can walk on it after 2 hours, park on driveways after 6 hours. I was at work all day and then went to the gym, got home at 8.30pm. The pavement is in such a state again, footprints, bicycle tyre marks. I presumed at 8.30 it would be ok to walk on. My £100 zumba trainers are ruined with tarmac. After speaking with a neighbour they said at 4o'c there were no prints in the tarmac. I presume it was probably thicker tarmac to cover the mess on Friday, but obviously the cold weather has not helped as it has not hardened with such low temperatures. Absolutely a complete waste of council tax money. I would like to know how to make a claim for my trainers.
