Regular footway obstruction

Reported via desktop in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category by Rob Wiltsher at 09:58, Sunday 5 February 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

This length of public footway is obstructed on a regular basis by bins left on the pavement and white goods such as fridges etc forcing pedestrians onto the road. This is extremely problematic for those of limited mobility, buggies and mobility scooters. Under the Highways Act, this footway should be kept clear at all times and this is in contravention and provides a dangerous situation for pedestrians. May I suggest some form of enforcement action please. Thank you.

Updates

  • The commercial red bin has been removed but this Veolia bin (plus other flytipping) continue to block the pavement for pedestrians (requiring dangerous diversion into the road).
