Difficult to see oncoming traffic.

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction category anonymously at 13:48, Tue 7 March 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4289666.

Outside of working hours and on weekends, it is very difficult to see the oncoming traffic when turning out of Dutton Road onto Sturminster Road. This is due to the cars parked on Sturminster road and drivers speeding. There are 30mph signs but this does not deter drivers. I myself have had a handfull of near misses due to not being able to see. Even if you inch forward slowly, speeding traffic causes an issue. This issue has been prevelant for many years. I have reported this issue on but it was closed. I have also seen people on the same road complain in the local community forums. Please can this be looked into, either traffic calming measures or a mirror being mounted so that we can see traffic coming. The picture does not show the danger fully. I would recocmend trying to turn out from Dutton road to Sturminster road first thing in the morning to see how bad it is for yourself. I really fear that an accident will occur and Sturminster road has already seen its fair share.
