Tree roots pushing through surface resulting in serious trip hazard

Outside 67 Monks Park Avenue tree roots have broken the pavement surface and caused a serious trip hazard, which continues to get worse daily as the pavement surface degrades further.

This was previously reported on 10th July 2022 at https://fixmystreet.bristol.gov.uk/ report/ 3665126 as a follow up to a previously closed issue, making this the 3rd time this has been reported. It's likely been an issue for over a year.

The last update from the council at 09:58 on Tuesday 24 January 2023 was "This enquiry has been referred to another team for action. They will provide further updates on the issue in due course." Yet the issue was closed on Monday 6th March 2023 with no further updates.

Please can we have an update on when this broken pavement will be fixed!

  • I first reported this problem 17 Sept 2020. The issue has once again been 'closed' by the council - you beat me to it to report it again!
