Overhanging trees - as previous report ref 4160337
Reported via desktop in the Tree touching building category by Adrian Arnatt at 07:55, Wednesday 22 March 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4343709.
Dear Bristol City Council,
The tree marked is directly in front of our shop Fabric Land, 52-56 Bond Street, Bristol BS1 3LZ.
Since moving into the shop in 2010 the tree has grown significantly, together with the other trees along this stretch of pavement. This tree sheds its leaves with a large majority of the leaves ending up on the canopy in front of our shop. These leaves then block the gutter and rainwater gullies to the rear of the canopy, which then causes water leaks in our shop, due the backed up, leak blocked gullies. Due to the recent heavy rain, water ingress is causing issues with our lighting, security shutters, building alarm and ruining the ceiling tiles.
The trees along this stretch of pavement have been previously been pruned back and require severe pruning back again in alleviate the issues to our shop.
Our previous report 4160337 was closed on the basis of "This issue is not the responsibility of Bristol City Council. For guidance please read our Tree Management Policy"
Please could you advise who we therefore contact to have these trees pruned back asap?
Please could you review and advise.
Many thanks
