Degradation of Southmead Road surface at Lake Road inbound stop
Reported via desktop in the Other issue (bus stop) category anonymously at 11:47, Thu 30 March 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4376576.
This has been deteriorating for some time now and the red grit is being thrown up on to the pavement by passing traffic, which might result in pedestrian accidents. Potholes are developing at start of the area and could already be a danger to cyclists, scooter users and motor cyclists.

This bus stop along with the bus stops and safety surfacing at approaches to pedestrian crossings were all left out of the main resurfacing of Southmead and Henleaze Roads carried out several years ago - before the pandemic. This is why the bus stops have severely degraded and many local zebra crossings are so worn out they need to be completely repainted as well as the approaches properly surfaced. It always struck me as most odd that these would be left out of the road treatment project when they were the most critical.
