Extreme slippery algae from constant water flow over pavement

Reported via mobile in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 09:28, Mon 3 April 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4391468.

I fully hit the deck yesterday walking over a section of pavement I’ve pinpointed on the map. For as long as I’ve known the pavement there has a constant stream of water flowing over it which is assume is some kind of natural spring that flows over the pavement (or a leaking pipe?) There is an extremely slippery layer of algae that has built up in the past few weeks due to spring time perhaps, if I had been an old lady I might have broken my hip, I am amazed nothing has been done - I can only assume it’s been reported before due to how dangerous it is but maybe nothing you can do? My suggestion would be at least some signs to warn you it is more slippery than ice on that patch. Please do something about this before it’s really seriously injures someone.it comes down from sort of under the shed/garage of property 4a Vicarage Road.
