  • A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.

  • I am writing on behalf of my neighbours Mr & Mrs Ip. They ran The Headly Fishbar for many years until they retired. When the row of houses, on Vicarage Road where they live, was due to be built, I told Bristol Planning Dept that where 4A was going to be built there is a stream which would need to be dealt with or it would cause problems in the future. This weekend a very frightened Mrs Ip came to my door because a man was on her doorstep demanding money. He said that his child had slipped on the pavement outside 4a Vicarage Road, and he claimed that Mr & Mrs Ip were responsible. Mrs Ip was very frightened and shaking as she felt threatened and did not know how to deal with the very angry man. Mr & Mrs Ip do not have English as their mother tongue and do not know how to deal with this problem as the drainage put in by the council for the stream to pass under the path is no longer fit for purpose and is creating a slip hazard which is not their fault. Years of pavement parking by large vehicles and top dressing of the tarmac by the council has destroyed the drainage that was originally put in to run the stream under the path. Could you please help them in some way,
