Hit by shed branch apx 1.3m long - future serious injury potential
Reported via desktop in the Tree in poor health category anonymously at 11:49, Tuesday 11 April 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4424172.
Tree has been reported as overhanging & potentially dangerous previously (June 2022, Ref 1169066F7D1H4), latest shed branch landed on my property, hitting me across the back & shoulders. Had it hit me on the head, I would have suffered a serious wound, probably requiring stitches.
Danger to myself, my property and parked vehicles notwithstanding, the pavement under this tree has particularly high infant traffic, partly due to the proximity of the school; had this branch landed outside my property, perhaps on a child, the situation would be even more serious.
I urge you most strongly to pollard this tree without further delay, to avoid future injury and/or vehicle damage.
Thanks in advance for your kind attention to this potentially serious issue.
