Footpath between Stanley Chase and B4469/Rose Green Centre
Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 11:20, Mon 17 April 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4449813.
The public footpath has a variety of surfaces - stones, cement, but mostly ground/grass. Walkers, pushchairs and maybe wheelchairs were able to use (and linking to the footpath on Gordon Avenue to Thurston Barton, on way to St George's Park)
In the past, where there was ground/grass, while there were often puddles, occasionally large, they were largely passable.
However, there are an increasing number of vehicles (bikes, electric bikes etc) - some have narrow tyres but more have wide tyres. This is advertised as a cycle route using the pathway linked to cycle track.
With such an increase in vehicle usage, the pathway is now dug up with puddles becoming deeper and wider. This makes it inaccessible for walkers etc.
The Gordon Avenue/Thurston Barton is not easily accessible by vehicles - with a few steps on the Gordon Avenue end. A few years ago, the pathway was laid with more stones and made it more useable.
