Resident of 45 Redland Rd wants sign removed
Reported via desktop in the Road signage category anonymously at 14:00, Wednesday 19 April 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4461245.
A blue badge sign is outside of her house where she holds a badge and has a disabled bay. This is causing more BB holders to park there. She would like the sign removed.

This is a statutory disabled parking bay in the Cotham Residents Parking Scheme area. As it stands it can only be legally used by any vehicle displaying a valid disabled blue badge. The sign allows this restriction to be enforced and for any vehicle parked there that does not display a valid blue badge to receive a parking ticket. The removal of the enforcement sign would not prevent other blue badge holders from parking in the bay but would allow able bodied drivers to park there without any consequences. It would have the exact opposite effect of what the citizen intends. Therefore the sign has to remain in place in order to ensure that only blue badge holders can park in this bay.
