Deep pothole in centre of complex traffic junction
Reported via Android in the Roads category anonymously at 08:52, Thursday 20 April 2023
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4464605.
This pothoole has appered in the last 3 weeks and is exactly at the apex of the turn where cars and cycles turning right from Passage Road onto Charlton Road pass - and where cars leaving Charlton Road to turn right onto Passage Road. It is several inches deep and sufficient to knock cyclists off their bikes at a place where cars can be travelling at high speed. Not only is this a physical danger but it occurs in a complex junction where the poor design and road markings mean that the right of way is uncertain. It needs urgent fixing as a danger to the public - especially cyclists

This hole report several weeks ago is now enormous. And positioned exactly where cars need their wheels to be when turning into Charlton Rd.

There are multiple potholes at this junction. I've included pictures of them. Turning left from Charlton road there are potholes that are difficult to see because they are at the crest of the hill. Turning right from Passage road to Charlton road, there is a very deep pothole in the centre of the junction, that is difficult to avoid as it is in the centre of the path a car would take

I note that this problem has been reported already and that you have stated that action is not going to be taken any time soon. This pothole at the junction of Charlton Road and Passage Road is a busy one and used by buses as well as cars. It is very difficult to avoid the pothole when turning left out of Charlton Road. Please can you fix it.
